Tax Compliance Analyst | Q Investments

Q Investments, a multi-billion dollar private investment firm in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a sharp, motivated indiual to join its Strategic Planning Group. This is a high profile position with direct access to and interaction with indiuals from all divisions of thepany including senior management. The Senior Tax Compliance Analyst will work in an open, team-oriented environment, and will interact with Q’s securities transactions teams and private equity teams.

Job Responsibilities:

• Working with the head of tax, oute CPAs and tax attorneys on taxpliance matters and solvingplex tax issues.
• Assisting in preparation of tax workpapers including taxable ie calculations and tax allocations inplex family office structure.
• Assisting in the preparation of federal tax returns for partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps, tax exempt organizations, and trusts. Includes preparation of several international information returns.
• Work with the team to develop tax estimates and report estimates to senior managers within the firm.
• Work within a diverse team to perform reporting and analysis of wash sales, as well as preparation and review of holding period and tax basis analysis for a e range for securities
• Create processes and procedures to analyze trading activity to detect straddles, constructive sales, and other trading-based tax issues.
• Prepare and review realized gain/loss reports, qualified diend reports, and unrealized gain/loss reports
• Preparation and review of financial books for management entities

Requirements:

The successful canate will have demonstrated an outstanding professional and academic record, as well as be able to meet all or most of the following criteria:

˙ Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting, Taxation or related area w/ GPA of 3.25 or better

˙ 1-3 years of Tax Consulting or Tax Compliance experience working for a hedge fund, private equity fund, family office or Big 4/large regional public accounting firm, on above listed responsibilities is preferred

• Strong spreadsheet skills
• CPA preferred but not required
