Primary Responsibilities:

As a member of the Optum Financial marketing team, the marketing specialist is a key pillar for the growth of this business. You will need to think both creatively and analytically (yes, you need both!) on how to engage and grow B2B and B2C audiences through effective omni-channel campaigns. Channels might include email, direct mail, in-app notifications, paid top-of-funnel channels, and even in-store signage. We have millions of account holders and tens of thousands of business customers that are craving clear, compelling, and educational marketing. We are doing our part to help everyone with one of the biggest and most important decisions they make about their lives: their health.

We are looking for candidates who can bring marketing best practices that haven’t been seen in the healthcare industry. Do you thrive in creating detailed campaign briefs that push our internal partners to think outside of the box? Can you critically think about what the right metrics are, how to conduct A/B test and articulate the right marketing technology needs to take our campaigns to the next level? Do you get uncommon satisfaction out of finding the tiniest of errors and then figure out to how to make sure they never happen again? Influencing, crisp communication, restlessness and organization skills are essential to being successful in this role.

Additional detailed responsibilities:

  • Execute consumer marketing projects and ad hoc requests from intake process through completion
  • Maintain effective brand voice management that contributes to consumer engagement
  • Manage a large volume of campaigns for several constituents across the organization
  • Build collaborative partnerships with internal business clients in many functional areas
  • Align and socialize collective objectives and detailed roadmaps
  • Work in technology applications such as Workfront and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Participate in process improvements related to work, including partner processes

One year of post-high school education can be substituted/is equivalent to one year of experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in a marketing or sales enablement role
  • Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Proven solid written and editing skills for a variety of media types

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of digital marketing and/or social media experience
  • Experience in the financial services and/or health care industry
  • Experience with software programs such as Workfront, Tableau, DOMO and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Experience in analytics and reporting marketing results that tracks to ROI
  • Experience collaborating with creative teams on design development
