Logistics Inventory Control Coordinator | Hanes Supply Inc.

Position Summary: Plans, directs, and coordinates the distribution operations in receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials with accuracy and satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

– Observes all safety procedures, rules and regulations, and instruction in performance of job duties.

– Focuses on order fulfillment and supply chain coordination.

– Oversees the Shipping and Receiving Departments to ensure 100% order and receiving accuracy.

– Issues shipping instructions and proes routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.

– Use reporting software to effectively analyze performance of shipping and logistics, modify approaches based on information, and report to management on developments.

– Selects carriers and negotiates contracts or rates.

– Maintain cost efficiency in shipping without sacrificing operational ability or customer experience.

– Plans best route for most efficient delivery and shipping processes for inbound and outgoing deliveries.

– Optimize shipping methods and coordinate various shipping modalities includingpany operated vehicles and delivery associates, shipping vendors, etc.

– Oversee and coordinate movement of product between branches, from vendors, and to customers across several branches.

– Monitor daily shipments and follow up on back orders and aging unshipped orders and transfers.

– Reviews shipping orders to estimate peak delivery periods and issues work assignments.

– Introduce regularized inventory transfer schedules between branches.

– Audit all warehouses for efficiency and accuracy.

– Supervises and strategizes in logistics, warehouse, transportation, balancing pricing, and customer service.

– Maintaining relationships with all logistics partners.

– Be a higher level resource for shipping issues orplaints, lost items, and damaged goods.

– Be the main resource for rush shipments and time sensitive logistics.

– Improvesmunication between sales, purchasing, production, and warehouse teams for problems and priorities.

– Coordinates with purchasing team as needed for logistics on rush or large shipments.

– Maintain awareness of assets and capabilities in all branches regarding trucks, technology, and personnel.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

– Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance, less than truckload and truckload shipping, and UPS and Federal Express small package shipping is required.

– Competent in procurement, import & export, distribution & warehousing, fleet management, facilities & IT management.

– Prior experience in a fast paced warehouse or distribution setting environment is preferred.

– Prior experience working on a Safety Committees is desired.

– Strong math,puter software skills, and attention to detail are required.

– Strong customer service andmunication skills across various departments are required.

– Self-motivated, team player, problem solver, ability to multitask efficiently, and manage projects.

Level of Education and Experience:

– One to three years prior experience as a Warehouse Lead or a warehouse team atmosphere is required.

– Prior experience working in an ISO certified manufacturing environment is highly desired.

– High School Diploma or equivalency is required; Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management or a related field is desired.

– Certified to proe forklift truck training is preferred.

– Drivers License is required.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
