As the Senior Cybersecurity Incident Responder and Threat Hunt Analyst, you will play a critical role in responding to cyber threats, while also identifying and mitigating advanced cyber threats that may evade traditional security measures. You will be responsible for proactively seeking out signs of malicious activity within our network and systems, conducting in-depth investigations, and collaborating with other incident responders to neutralize identified threats. You Will Make an Impact By:
  • Proactive Threat Hunting:
    • Conduct continuous, proactive threat hunting activities to identify and analyze potential security threats and anomalies.
    • Develop and maintain threat hunting strategies and playbooks to stay ahead of emerging threats.
  • Cybersecurity Analysis:
    • Analyze security data and logs to detect suspicious patterns, trends, and indicators of compromise (IoCs).
    • Collaborate with security analysts to investigate incidents and assess the scope and impact of security breaches.
  • Incident Response:
    • Work closely with other incident responders to provide threat intelligence and context for ongoing investigations.
    • Assist in containing, eradicating, and recovering from security incidents as necessary.
  • Threat Intelligence Gathering:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest threat intelligence feeds, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques to enhance threat hunting capabilities.
    • Collaborate with threat intelligence teams to share findings and improve threat detection.
  • Tool and Technology Utilization:
    • Leverage advanced security tools, SIEM solutions, and threat intelligence platforms to aid in threat hunting efforts.
    • Participate in the evaluation and deployment of new threat hunting technologies.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed records of incident response and threat hunting activities, findings, and outcomes.
    • Produce reports and briefings for management and stakeholders on identified threats and recommended actions.
Skills You Bring:
  • Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; a Masters degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on incident response and threat hunting.
  • Proficient in using cybersecurity tools, SIEM solutions, and threat intelligence feeds.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, and TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures).
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or GIAC certifications are highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary Pay Range: $78,400 - 145,600 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
