The Business Effectiveness Consultant Testing and Monitoring, focuses on the evaluation of process and controls in themercial banking first line of defense. The role will help evaluate the design, and implementation of processes and internal controls within the LOB. This indiual will also serve as the first line of defense review of all things credit related including credit actions, accuracy of loan presentations,pliance items, and agreement of approval action with legal documentation. To successfully perform the work, you’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hyb work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. How you ll succeed Evaluate Process Design & Implementation Controls – Review relevant business processes and propose approaches to evaluate process design and effectiveness. Contribute to theentification of controls and work with the business to design controls as appropriate. Understand CIBC’s relevant credit risk and operational risk policies and procedures. Relationship building - This job will require developing strong strategic partnerships with multiple constituents across the organization: Commercial Banking Leadership, Portfolio Administration, Portfolio Managers, Relationship Managers, Syndications, Treasury Management, and Client Servicing,. Risk Mitigation - Assist in theentification of emerging risks and collaborate with other teams to proactively develop solutions to address such risks within the LOB.
