Responsibilities and Opportunity Offered: The office is seeking an Adult Diversion Program Caseworker to fill a position within the Diversion Unit of the Criminal Division. The position offers a unique and challenging experience for a highly motivated person. As a member of the Diversion Intake Unit, you will be responsible for interviewing potential participants, communicating with crime victims, conducting criminal history checks, interacting with law enforcement agencies and recommending counseling and other types of services for candidates. Using that information, you will then be required to prepare a written report to be submitted to the Diversion Court. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the basic clerical tasks associated with the opening and closing of cases.
Required Qualifications for AppointmentQualifications: Applicants must possess superior clerical and organizational skills, as well as the capacity to function at a high level in a demanding environment. Additionally, applicants must exhibit the ability to work in a supportive and professional manner with other support staff, attorneys, and state agencies. Applicants should have excellent writing skills, be a team player and demonstrate attention to detail. Candidates must be computer literate in Excel, Word, CCH, and adept to learning new computer programs. Applicant must have a working knowledge or familiarity of the Odyssey Judicial Public Portal.
