Billing Representative - National Remote

ProHEALTH Care is one of the largest integrated physician group practices in the New York Metropolitan Area with twenty locations throughout Long Island. This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours, local time. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 12-13 weeks of paid training. The hours of training will be based on your schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interact with customers to gather support data to ensure invoice accuracy and also work through specific billing discrepancies
• Provide input to policies, systems, methods and procedures for the effective management and control of the premium billing function
• Educate customers regarding the availability of receiving invoices and remitting payments through online applications
• Monitor outstanding balances and take appropriate actions to ensure clients pay as billed
• Manage the preparation of invoices and complete reconciliation of billing with accounts receivables
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent years of working experience
• Must be 18 years of age OR older
• 2+ years of medical billing experience
• Ability to navigate multiple programs and learn new and complex computer system applications
• 1+ year of experience in a related environment (i.e. office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using phones and computers as the primary job tools
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours, local time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of years of medical billing experience

Telecommuting Requirements:

• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

• Ability to multi-task and to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product
• Ability to work autonomously

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington or Rhode Island Residents Only: The hourly range for California / Colorado / Connecticut / Hawaii / Nevada / New York / New Jersey / Washington / Rhode Island residents is $16.54 - $32.55 per hour.
