A Day In The Life of a Warehouse & Shipping Manager

The position you are applying for is to supervise the daily activities of the warehouse and ensure safe and efficient storage and retrieval of supplies and parts, along with shipping of finished products according to customer specifications.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities of The Warehouse & Shipping Manager

• Receive and inspect iing parts, equipment, materials, and shipments.
• Issue and distribute parts.
• Record transactions in ERP software.
• Schedule cycle counts and inventory.
• Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for iing items and staff on hand to manage receipt.
• Prepare and ship both international and domestic shipments.
• Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers.
• Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them, and stocking them within the Warehouse bin locations.
• Maintain safety procedures within the warehouse.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Exemplary customer service skills, both internal and external.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Shipping and receiving products, both domestic and international.
• Scheduling shipments both domestically and internationally.
• Management of warehouse and inventory over $75 million.
• Managing and supervising a large warehouse team.

Education and Experience

• Four-year university degree in a related field or the equivalentbination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated work experience in a similar position.
• Experience with export controls and ITAR procedures and documents.
• Computer and ERP skills, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics GP.
• Must be a U.S. person as defined by 22 U.S.C. § 6010
