Job Description

Now Hiring: Dock Worker - Lightning Logistics.Location: Des Moines, IA.Shift: Night/Part-Time. Hours are 8pm to 1am.Pay: Competitive Hourly Pay + Benefits.

Lightning Logistics is looking for hardworking, dependable Dock Workers to join our fast-paced logistics team. If you're physically fit, detail-oriented, and thrive in a team environment, we want to hear from you!

Position Summary:

As a Dock Worker, you’ll play a vital role in the loading and unloading of freight, organizing shipments, and keeping our operations running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trailers and delivery vehicles.
• Sort, stage, and scan freight for accurate shipment.
• Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (if certified).
• Maintain a clean and safe dock area.
• Assist with inventory control and reporting.
• Communicate with drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse team.
  

Qualifications:

• Prior dock/warehouse experience preferred (but not required).
• Ability to lift/move up to 50-75 lbs regularly.
• Strong attention to detail and safety procedures.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Forklift certification a plus (but we can help you get certified!).
• Must be able to work in varying temperatures and environments.
• Must be able to pass a Background Check.
