Highway Maintenance Team Member Why Join Our Team The Minnehaha County Highway Department is hiring a Highway Maintenance Team Member to join our team. Our experienced team of over 20 skilled operators and mechanics help keep the county's roads and bridges safe and reliable all year long. As a Highway Maintenance Team Member, you will have an opportunity to learn and grow with an experienced team performing semi-skilled construction, maintenance, and repair work. We offer you: Fri/Sat/Sun off every weekend April through October Scheduled opportunities for regular pay raises Opportunities to work on a wide variety of equipment Ongoing training Work at a new, state of the art facility Comprehensive benefits package including paid holidays; health, dental, vision, and life insurance; generous PTO program; extended sick leave program; inclusion into the South Dakota Retirement System (SDRS); and an optional deferred compensation plan. What You Need to Succeed in this Role High school diploma or GED and previous related work experience. Comparable combination of education and experience may be considered. Possession of a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with air brake endorsement and must maintain a safe driving record with Minnehaha County. Must successfully complete pre-employment background process.
