DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY, THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN: Director of Training, Counselor Education M.Ed. Program

With support from the University administration, the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin is pleased to invite applications for the following full-time, non-tenure track position as the Training Director in the Masters Program in Counselor Education with a starting date of August 2025. Salary for the position is commensurate with experience and background.

For this position, we are seeking a highly organized person who will help manage and monitor the training program of the Counselor Education program. Responsibilities will include teaching content courses for the Counselor Education program and playing an integral role in program coordination including admissions, advising, student evaluations, practicum placement and supervision. Successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to responsive counseling practices when serving different populations as well as have experience and/or interest in advising and curriculum development. The Counseling Program is located within the Department of Educational Psychology, currently ranked #6 according to the US News and Report. Qualifications

A doctorate in counselor education or a closely-related field is required. Candidates must also be licensed, license-eligible and/or certified in related fields. The ideal candidate for this position will also have experience in teaching or supervision in academic settings.
