Job Description:

Sing Create Play is in search of an energetic and enthusiastic independently contracted Weekend Social-Emotional Learning Teacher to join our team as an independent contractor. If you have a passion for guiding students in their emotional and social development and enjoy making learning enjoyable, we want to hear from you! As a Social-Emotional Learning Teacher, youll lead engaging sessions on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

If you are a Music Therapist and you are interested in this position, wed love to hear from you! Please note that you need to be a Board Certified Music Therapist and you will not be delivering music therapy services; you will be teaching social-emotional skills to children and, and, if interested, it may be possible to teach lessons on your preferred instrument.

Responsibilities:

• Teach Social-Emotional Learning using your own curriculum with pre-approval by us before you start teaching.
• Infuse joy into learning through music, creative arts, and play-based activities.
• Create a positive and inclusive environment for students to express themselves.
• Provide individual support to students with diverse emotional needs.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and fellow educators for a holistic approach.
• Keep track of student progress and provide regular and timely feedback to families.

Requirements:

• Experience delivering SEL classes, preferably online.
• Experience teaching engaging lessons to children from the age of 3 to .
• Experience teaching a mix of individual and group classes (5-10 students in a class).
• Energetic and positive attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet students needs.
• Experience using Canva and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with Zoom and online teaching tools.

Hard Skills:

• Basic computer skills (Canva, spreadsheets, Google Workspace).
