Facility in Detroit, MI seeking Neonatology locums coverageCompensation:$350/hr Night shift$450/hr OTA Michigan facility is seeking a Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible Neonatologist for locum tenens night coverage following the resignation of an existing neonatologist. This is an in-house overnight role with a steady NICU census and an urgent need, with temporary privileges requested.Position Details Specialty: Neonatology Practice Setting: Inpatient NICU Facility Trauma Level: Level III Coverage Reason: Resignation of an existing neonatologist Coverage Dates: March 24, 2026 December 31, 2026 Coverage Volume: Approximately 46 shifts per monthSchedule In-house night call 7:00 PM 7:00 AMPractice Environment 15-bed NICU Average daily census: approximately 12 patients Average admissions: 04 per dayNeonatology team includes:3 full-time neonatologists2 part-time neonatologists4 contingent providersClinical Responsibilities Attend C-sections Manage NICU patients Coordinate and perform neonatal transfers as requiredNo coverage required for Level I (well-baby) nursery.Documentation EMR systems: Cerner / eCare / PowerChartCredentialing Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90120 days Due to urgent need, the facility is requesting temporary privileges when possible.Travel and Reimbursement Local providers only Mileage reimbursement available No airfare, lodging, or rental car reimbursementRequirements Truly Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatology required Fellowship-trained in Neonatology required Active Michigan medical license (license must be in hand) required BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications required Clean background required Local provider (mileage reimbursed if applicable) required Self-query NPDB report (pulled within the last month) required at time of presentationAbout WhiteCoat Locums:- Physician owned and led agency- Highest-Pay rates on the market- $1m/3m malpractice insurance and tail- 100% transparent
