Trust the Journey Academy is a private, therapeutically integrated K–8 school serving students with diverse learning needs, including autism, ADHD, developmental delays, and emotional/behavioral challenges. Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or BCaBA to join our multidisciplinary team in a school-based setting. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to making a meaningful impact on students with unique learning and behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee two classrooms (6–8 students per class)
  • Conduct and oversee Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
  • Monitor behavior data, analyze trends, and adjust interventions accordingly
  • Develop behavior tracking systems and materials for classroom use
  • Train and support classroom staff on behavior plans and strategies
  • Provide RBT supervision in accordance with BACB guidelines
  • Collaborate with Intervention Specialists on IEP goals (behavioral and social-emotional)
  • Attend and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Work closely with related service providers to ensure coordinated care
  • Administer assessments such as VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, and AFLS
  • Support staff during crisis situations and assist with behavior de-escalation
  • Provide supervision for staff pursuing BCBA certification

Qualifications

  • Active BCBA or BCaBA certification required
  • Must maintain COBA certification
  • Experience working with children with autism, behavioral challenges, or special needs
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to implement physical interventions when necessary (training provided)
  • Passion for working in a team-based, student-centered environment
