Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Take X-rays to help identify any oral health issues. Use an intra oral camera so that the patients can see problem areas. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and other preventive care measures. Assist the dentist in determining the best treatment plan for the patient Maintain accurate electronic health records (Eaglesoft), documenting treatment plans, medical records, and medical coding details. Follow infection prevention protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment and comply with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Monitor and record vital signs, assess patient comfort levels, and provide support throughout dental procedures. Manage dental equipment maintenance, sterilization processes, and infection control procedures to uphold the highest standards of healthcare infection prevention and control expertise. Communicate effectively with patients to address questions about dental care, treatment options, and post-treatment instructions. Efficient time management so that you can stay on schedule. Review treatment plans with the patient and help them get scheduled for their next cleaning as well as for future treatment. Administer local anesthetic for our patients when Dr. Hall needs help.
