*Job Overview* Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), PRN! In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to deliver exceptional patient care across diverse settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. This flexible PRN position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while expanding your clinical skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment. *Duties* * Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing personalized care plans focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs) and functional mobility. * Provide hands-on therapy interventions to patients in various settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health visits. * Support patients in performing ADLs such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting to promote independence. * Document patient progress accurately and timely in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies. * Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and strategies to enhance safety and functional outcomes at home or in the community. * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care that addresses medical imaging results, physiology considerations, and anatomy knowledge. * Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards during all patient interactions. *Requirements* * Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program. * Valid state licensure or registration as required by local regulations. * Experience working in diverse settings such as skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or home health environments. * Strong knowledge of occupational health principles, medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy relevant to patient care. * Familiarity with care plans tailored for geriatrics, pediatrics, and general adult populations. * Ability to assist with ADLs across various patient needs and mobility levels. * Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
