Nokia's Cloud and Network Services (CNS) business group is building out a suite of products and capabilities that drive our Autonomous Networks vision. We are creating a data fabric that brings together all the information that we gather from telecom networks with the goal of feeding intelligent decision making for autonomous operations. The Data Engineering Architect for Autonomous Networks will be responsible for the data architecture of the Autonomous Network Fabric (ANF), a set of SaaS as well as on‑premises services operating at petabyte scale. This is a design and architecture role with a strong hands‑on engineering component. Responsibilities
Design, document and drive reviews of the data architecture of the Autonomous Network Fabric
Converge on technology choices for the components of the data architecture, choices that work across multiple footprint variants (on‑premises, hybrid and SaaS)
Work hands‑on with and drive implementation across multiple scrum teams to incrementally realize the architecture
Enable AI/ML Operations pipelines in the architecture to support autonomous decision making and operations
Drive a focus on CI/CD automation in standing up the ANF footprint across all the above variants
Work with peer stakeholders to architect and implement migration of existing data‑intensive applications on to the ANF platform
Work with Nokia partners to drive data technology integrations and delivery models needed to best serve our joint customers
Work directly with Nokia customers and design partners to align on requirements related to the data architecture
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
15+ years of hands‑on engineering in data technologies, with more recent focus on data for AI/ML pipelines
5+ years of experience architecting large‑scale data systems
4+ years of engineering experience in a SaaS environment, preferably in big data
4+ years of experience engineering products for on‑premises delivery
Good understanding of cloud technologies, including some experience with at least one hyperscaler
Experience working closely with customers and design partners to create integration points with their data systems
Experience working within a globally distributed and diverse engineering organization
