Job Description

We are looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team at a privately owned Periodontal office! Position is Monday-Thursday, with average of 2 half-day Friday’s a month. Dental Assistant will get anywhere from 32-35 hours a week.

Applicants must have excellent communication skills, computer skills, friendly, self-starter, highly-organized, attention to detail, exceptional customer service. As a Dental Assistant you must possess the willingness to learn, be compassionate to patients and make patients comfortable all while assisting the Doctor in his procedures. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make the office procedures as smooth as possible

Responsibilities & Skills:

• Welcome patients in the dental office
• Prepare patients for treatments
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and material as needed
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Knowledge of dental procedures
• Knowledge of dental products and materials used/needed
• Attention to detail
• Good computer skills
• Taking FMX, PANO and CT Scans
• Taking Impressions
• Exceptional documentation on patient notes/charts
• Anticipating Sequence of Dental Procedures
• Disinfections Rooms & Equipment

Applicant MUST hold a Certificate in Dental Assistant & Radiology and hold a CURRENT CPR.
