The Director of Production executes and delivers quality and on time product (Sleepwear and Intimates) including cost negotiation, factory placement and production. They ensure the flow of information from pre-production through production. This position reports to the CEO.

Responsibilities
  • Source and negotiate with factories
  • Manage overseas factory and vendor relationships
  • Manage a team of 4-5 people
  • Create and maintain WIP reports
  • Monitor T&A calendar
  • Communicate with factories on sample updates
  • Approve layout of labels, hangtags, price tickets, and carton markings
  • Ensure prompt resolution of all production related issues
  • Negotiate and finalize costing and deliveryPost pre-production hand-off with suppliers
  • Effectively communicate all potential risks to the timeline with team lead
  • Issue POs & manage PO log
  • Source, develop, and negotiate all internal packaging & trim
  • Monitor factory adherence to the vendor manual and chargeback agreements
  • Engage and facilitate daily communication with vendors to address all production-related issues
  • Initiate production fabric and garment testing, when applicable
  • Attend weekly WIP meetings with factory partners to ensure transparency on timelines, quality standards, and troubleshoot any pending issues
Requirements
  • At least 8-10+ years of experience in production working on apparel
  • Strong understanding of development and production calendars
  • Strong organizational, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Vendor management and cost negotiation skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field of study
  • Advanced understanding of garment composition and quality control
  • In depth analytical skills for apparel cost sheets
  • Versed in managing a robust supplier base; fabric, trims, and manufacturing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, emphasis on international relationships
  • Advanced Excel & G suite proficiency
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Ability and experience in managing a small team
Salary Disclosure

Majesty Brands is committed to offering a compensation package that reflects the qualifications and experience of the individual. The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. While the posted salary range is $150,000 – $180,000, we recognize the value of exceptional talent and are open to negotiation for the right candidate.
