This role is for a producer who builds studios, not just schedules.
TCS Interactive is building a flagship Design Studio in New York. We need a Head of Production to be the operational engine. Owning the scoping, pricing, and delivery of digital product engagements while building the production function from the ground up.
You'll partner with the Executive Design Director to win new business and deliver it. They own the creative vision; you own making it real, on time, on budget, on outcome. Together, you're the founding leadership team for the NYC studio led by the Chief Creative Officer, North America.
This is not a support role. You're in the room for pitches. You shape deal structures. You own client relationships through delivery. You build the processes, hire the team, and establish how the studio operates.
We’ve already shipped product design for streaming services, big telecommunications brands, global airlines and sports. Now we're building the New York leadership to scale the portfolio.
What you’ll do Win New BusinessYou're the person who turns creative ambition into a buildable plan.
Own scoping, pricing, and SOW creation for design-led engagements. You know how to structure deals that protect margin and set projects up to succeed.
Partner with the EDD and CCO in pitches, you're in the room when it matters, translating creative vision into credible delivery plans.
Build relationships with client procurement, operations, and delivery leads. You're the person they trust to make things happen.
Shape proposals that convey a unified voice, working across strategy, design, and engineering to showcase TCS Interactive's full capability.
Run the WorkWhen we win, you make sure it ships.
Lead delivery of digital product engagements: apps, platforms, service experiences, AI-native products. You own the project economics, timeline, and quality.
Manage client relationships through delivery, regular check-ins, escalation management, and ensuring satisfaction at every milestone.
Work across design, engineering, and delivery teams to keep projects on time, on budget, and on brief.
Produce accurate SOWs and change orders. Scope creep doesn't happen on your watch without a conversation and a signature.
Be the person who sees problems before they become crises. You know when to elevate and when to solve it yourself.
Build the Production FunctionYou're not joining a production team. You're building one in NYC. All with support from the broader network of London and India.
Establish the operational processes, tools, and rituals that define how the NYC studio runs.
Hire and develop producers as the studio grows. Your first hire might be six months out—or six weeks, depending on what we win.
Create the resourcing, forecasting, and capacity planning systems that let the studio scale.
Build relationships with TCS Interactive teams in London and delivery teams globally. You know how to get the right people on the right projects.
Champion the team's health—utilization, morale, workload balance. You're building a sustainable operation, not a burnout machine.
What you’ve done10+ years in production, project management, or operations at agencies, studios, or tech companies that ship digital products.
Scoped and priced work in the $500K–$2M+ range. You've built SOWs, negotiated with procurement, and managed project economics.
Run complex engagements end-to-end—not just managed timelines, but owned client relationships and delivery outcomes.
New business experience. You've been in pitch rooms, shaped proposals, and helped close deals. You understand that production is a sales function, not just an operations function.
Led or built teams. You've hired, developed, and managed producers or project managers. You know how to build a bench.
Worked across disciplines. You're fluent in design, comfortable with engineering, and credible with clients. You translate between all three.
What sets you apart:You've been a founding or early producer at a studio—you know what it takes to build from scratch.
You've worked on AI-native products and understand how they change scoping, delivery, and client expectations.
You have experience with enterprise clients and the procurement/legal complexity that comes with Fortune 500 work.
You've built operational processes that outlasted you—templates, systems, ways of working that became how the studio operates.
You're known for running tight ships without being a tyrant. Teams want to work with you again.
You’ll thrive here if:You get energy from building something new, not maintaining something established.
You see production as a strategic function, not a support function.
You're comfortable with ambiguity and can create structure where none exists.
You know how to protect creative ambition while managing real-world constraints.
You build relationships with clients, with teams, with partners that make everything run smoother.
You've worked in complex, matrixed organizations and know how to navigate them.
You want a seat at the table, not a seat in the back room.
This role is not for you if:You prefer delivery over new business. This role requires both.
You need a large support structure to operate. You'll be building that structure in NYC but with organization support from London and India.
You see production as separate from sales. Here, they're the same thing.
You're looking for remote or hybrid flexibility. This role is based in our NYC studio, on-site, full-time.
What TCS Interactive bringsScale without the startup risk. TCS is a $30B company with 600,000+ professionals. You get enterprise resources and global delivery capability without the uncertainty of a startup.
Engineering depth most agencies can't touch. We don't hand off to a partner for build. We have thousands of engineers who can execute what you scope, AI, personalization, commerce, at global scale.
C-suite relationships to build from. TCS already works with CTOs and CIOs across Fortune 500 companies. You'll help expand those relationships to CDOs and CMOs bringing design to conversations where it hasn't been before.
A mandate to build. You're not inheriting someone else's operation. You're creating it.
How to applySend your resume, a brief note on why this role interests you, and one example of a complex engagement you scoped and delivered that you're proud of, what made it challenging, and how you made it work.
We're looking for a builder, not a maintainer. Show us how you operate.
