A rapidly growing steel building solutions provider is seeking an Experienced Outside Sales Account Executive to drive new business, expand market presence, and manage key client relationships across Florida and Georgia.

This role is focused on business development, territory growth, and consultative selling within the construction and metal building space. The position requires a highly motivated, field-based sales professional who can build relationships, provide technical solutions, and close complex deals in a competitive market.

This is a performance-driven role with earnings directly tied to results, offering strong upside for high-performing sales professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a territory strategy to drive new business and expand market share
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new clients within commercial and industrial construction sectors
  • Conduct in-person client meetings, site visits, and project consultations to understand needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with contractors, developers, architects, and engineers
  • Prepare accurate quotes and proposals based on project specifications, ensuring alignment with pricing and margin expectations
  • Lead contract negotiations and close deals while maintaining strong client relationships
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, production, and project management to ensure smooth project execution
  • Provide ongoing customer support post-sale to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline visibility, and sales forecasting
  • Stay current on market trends, competitors, and industry developments
  • Represent the company at job sites, client meetings, and industry events

Required Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of sales experience in construction, steel, or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of metal building systems, structural components, and construction processes
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Proven success in business development, territory management, and closing sales
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively (65–70%)
  • Ability to perform site visits, field measurements, and job site assessments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB), structural steel, or related products
  • Established relationships within the construction or development community
  • Familiarity with estimating tools such as MBS, SmartBuild, or similar
  • Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes
  • Industry certifications (OSHA, MBMA, etc.)

Compensation Structure

  • Low base salary with high commission-earning potential
