Job DescriptionWe need two mechanics on the the following shifts:

• Monday thru Friday   3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Monday thru Friday   12:00 PM to 8:30 PM

What You’ll Do:

As a Fleet Mechanic at Cleantech Environmental, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a diverse fleet of trucks and equipment, including tankers and straight trucks. You will report to the Fleet Supervisor and help ensure all vehicles are safe, compliant, and ready for service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections (oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, etc.)
• Diagnose and repair engine, electrical, HVAC, brake, and suspension systems
• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and correct vehicle issues
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
• Assist in tracking and managing parts inventory
• Respond to emergency roadside service calls as needed
• Collaborate with other mechanics and supervisors to ensure fleet readiness
• Travel to customer yards or field locations when required
• Comply with DOT and environmental safety standards

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in diesel or automotive technology preferred
• 2+ years of experience in diesel or fleet maintenance
• Experience with tankers, straight trucks, and reefer trailers is a plus
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and repair software
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required)
• DOT certifications a plus
• Ability to lift heavy parts and stand for extended periods
• ASE certifications preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

• Must pass a post-offer drug screen, physical exam, and lift test
• Ability to bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces
