MEYMUNI CAFÉFOH Supervisor | Full-Time · West Los Angeles, CA · $25–$28/hr DOE 2485 S Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90064

About Meymuni

Meymuni Café is a modern Persian café in West LA — and right now, we're in one of the most exciting chapters of our story. In just under a year, we've grown our Instagram community to 33,000 followers, established ourselves as an events destination, and we're actively launching catering. We're not slowing down.

This is a rare moment to join a brand that's early enough to shape, and established enough to be real. If you care about food, culture, and being part of something that's genuinely growing — we'd love to meet you.

The Role

We're looking for an FOH Supervisor who brings structure, presence, and genuine leadership to the floor every single day. This is not a role for someone who needs to ease in slowly — we're a growing operation, and from day one you'll be expected to hold the standard, support the team, and make real decisions when leadership isn't in the building.

You'll oversee the front-of-house experience end to end: the flow of service, the condition of the floor, the readiness of the team, and the accuracy of our catering and event execution. You'll be the person guests and staff alike look to when something needs to be resolved — and you'll handle it.

This role comes with more authority than a Lead position, and with that comes more accountability. If you've been waiting for a role where your input actually shapes how things run, this is it.

What You'll Own

  • Open and close the café independently, ensuring every checklist, protocol, and standard is met without exception.
  • Supervise the FOH team throughout your shift — set the pace, maintain the standard, and address performance in the moment.
  • Run full operations confidently when senior leadership is off-site — you are the decision-maker.
  • Provide input on scheduling and flag coverage gaps proactively before they become problems.
  • Conduct inventory checks and track supply levels — communicate needs clearly and on time.
  • Maintain merchandise and retail display standards — product must always be stocked, faced, and presented with care.
  • Support catering prep and event execution with the same precision you bring to daily service.
  • Handle guest concerns and escalations with composure and brand awareness — every interaction is a reflection of Meymuni.
  • Submit clear, accurate shift reports to leadership at the close of every shift.
  • Communicate proactively with leadership about anything affecting operations, team dynamics, or the guest experience.

Schedule

  • Full-time availability required.
  • Morning opens and weekends are a consistent part of this role — not occasional.
  • This role requires a team-first approach to scheduling. Flexibility and reliability are non-negotiable.

Physical Requirements

  • On your feet for the full duration of your shift in a high-volume environment.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs — catering supplies, product deliveries, retail inventory.
  • Comfortable with the physical and mental demands of managing a busy floor while staying calm and focused.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 3–5 years in fast-casual, café, or premium food service with demonstrated supervisory or lead experience.
  • Proven ability to manage a team independently — you've been the most senior person on shift before and handled it well.
  • Toast POS and 7shifts experience, or the ability to learn quickly and own it.
  • Comfortable with Google Workspace and catering coordination tools.
  • Working knowledge of California food safety and labor standards.

Preferred

  • Background at high-standards fast-casual brands — Sweetgreen, Mendocino Farms, Tender Greens, or similar.
  • Experience running catering or event-day operations from prep through execution.
  • Exposure to retail or merchandise display in a food or lifestyle brand environment.

Who You Are

You lead by doing. You don't wait for a problem to be handed to you — you see it developing and you handle it before it lands on someone else's plate. You hold a high standard for yourself and the people around you, and you do it without making the floor feel tense.

You're the kind of person who communicates clearly, takes feedback without ego, and genuinely cares about the guest experience from the moment someone walks in to the moment they leave. You understand that in a growing brand, some days are messy and some systems are still being built — and instead of being frustrated by that, you see it as an opportunity to make your mark.

This role is not the right fit if you treat certain tasks as beneath your title, need close supervision to stay on track, or approach your schedule with a personal-first mindset. We are a team that shows up — for each other, for our guests, and for the brand.

Compensation & Growth

  • $25–$28/hr DOE
  • Performance-based pay increases tied to results, reliability, and leadership impact
  • Clear path to Floor Manager or FOH Manager as Meymuni grows — we build our leadership team from within, and this role is designed to be a launchpad for the right person
