SUMMARY 

We are currently seeking both full time & part time food runners. Jolie focuses heavily on contemporary and classic cocktails, spirits and wine. Our ideal candidate has a passion for food, spirits and wine; excellent communication skills and enjoys interacting with the guests. Jolie food runners are expected to have a deep understanding of the menu, including the ingredients, preparation methods, and flavor profiles.

CORE FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

Qualified candidates must be able to satisfactorily complete the following responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned. 

• A team player and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Mindfully serve alcoholic beverages with a keen sense of judgment
• Establish consistent communication with FOH, BOH, the beverage team, and management
• Provide attentive service while anticipating needs
• Maintain bar cleanliness and organization
• Build and maintain good rapport with regular customers
• Offer menu insight and recommendations when appropriate
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times. 
• Maintain current and accurate knowledge of the menu offerings.

• Wine knowledge, beer knowledge, craft cocktail knowledge preferred
• Must have a personable demeanor, friendly personality, and a good smile
• Prioritize and organize work assignments, have timely follow up and execution. 
• Have superb time management skills. 
• Ability to comply with physical demands as outlined below. 
• If applicable, must meet any required minimum age to serve alcohol. 
• Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

The typical environment is a bar atmosphere with ambient room temperatures, ambient lighting, and common bar equipment. Sit, walk, and stand continuously. 

Lift / carry 25lbs (frequently) and 50lbs (occasionally) 

Bend, squat, crawl, and reach above shoulder level. 

Use dominant hand coordination for simple grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine manipulation. 

May be exposed to extreme temperatures, dust, dampness, height, and moving machinery.
