GENERAL MANAGER - Strong Muti-Unit and BOH experience Required
Meximodo – Jersey City, NJ

Salary Range: $90,000 – $100,000 annually+ Real Growth Opportunities

Meximodo is seeking an experienced, high-level General Manager to lead our Jersey City location. This position is ideal for a strong hospitality leader with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams, driving operational results, and maintaining excellence in a fast-paced upscale casual dining environment.

We are looking for a proactive, results-driven operator who understands how to build culture, sustain standards, and lead both Front of House and Back of House teams with accountability, professionalism, and urgency.

This is a demanding leadership role requiring a strong commitment to the business, including a regular 50–60-hour workweek. Nights, weekends, and holidays are an absolute requirement.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of full General Manager experience in a full-service upscale casual dining environment with liquor sales
  • Strong experience cultivating, mentoring, and developing hospitality teams across both FOH and BOH operations
  • Proven understanding of restaurant performance metrics including labor, sales, guest experience, sanitation, profitability, and operational execution
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to proactively identify issues and implement solutions
  • Experience creating and maintaining scalable operational systems, sanitation standards, and service procedures
  • Must be fully proficient with Toast 
  • Ability to lead high-volume service while maintaining professionalism, composure, and strong guest engagement
  • Multi-unit or franchise experience is a plus
  • Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and team development skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving hospitality environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all daily restaurant operations for the Jersey City location
  • Train, mentor, and develop FOH and BOH management and hourly teams
  • Drive accountability, operational consistency, and hospitality standards throughout the restaurant
  • Manage labor, scheduling, staffing levels, sales performance, inventory controls, sanitation, and guest satisfaction
  • Maintain compliance with company standards, food safety requirements, and applicable health regulations
  • Develop and refine scalable operational procedures that support company growth and future expansion
  • Partner with ownership and senior leadership to achieve operational and financial goals
  • Lead by example through active floor presence and strong operational execution

Schedule & Expectations:
This is a full-time exempt management position requiring flexibility based on business demands. Candidates must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays. A typical workweek for this role ranges from approximately 50+ hours.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual salary range of $85,000 – $100,000 based on experience
