Casual, thoughtfully crafted food in multiple spaces with menus tailored for each - everything from a quick bison burger and a beer to lingering over a double cut pork chop and bottle of red from the carefully curated list. A night out with friends for drinks and live music.
We are looking to hire a Host:
As the restaurant's first point of contact with guests, you'll work to create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting guests, managing reservations, and coordinating table seating.
Essential Job Functions
Reports to the Restaurant Manager for daily tasks.
Must greet and acknowledge guest as soon as they enter the restaurant with a warm and welcome manner.
Seat guests, provide menus, and introduce servers.
Manage the reservation book, assign tables to servers efficiently, and provide accurate wait times.
Answer phone inquiries, manage complaints professionally, and ensure patrons have a positive experience.
Maintain a clean entryway/host stand, and assist with, or run, to-go orders.
Maintains sanitation and cleanliness.
Maintain appearance of patio furniture and the opening and closing of umbrellas.
Know menu pricing, location of items and specials.
Coordinate with front-of-house and back-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow.
Exhibits a "can do" attitude and total cooperation.
Reports safety issues.
Position Requirements
Experience in a food service environment is strongly preferred.
Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal) required.
Ability to work flexible schedules; including holidays, weekends, and evenings.
Work Environment and Context Requires standing and moving for extended periods.
Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
