North Pond, a well-established fine dining destination in Lincoln Park with 28 years of history, is currently seeking a Host to join our team. Under the leadership of Chef César Murillo, Chef de Cuisine John Brandon, and Pastry Chef Johan Rubio, we are committed to seasonal excellence and supporting local producers.
As a Host, you will play a vital role in ensuring a delightful guest experience. The ideal candidate is a professional team player with a strong desire to excel and a good sense of humor. This position offers a schedule of Thursday through Sunday, providing three days off per week.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing guest confirmations and detailing specific requests or dietary requirements.
- Tracking and responding to voicemails.
- Assisting with office work, including editing service documents and menus.
- Execute opening procedures, such as assigning the floor plan and ensuring the dining room and facilities are service-ready.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills via phone and email.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- The ability to multitask and make sound decisions with minimal guidance.
- Knowledge of the menu.
