Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team at our R&E facilities in the Detroit area. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in our production facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work at our R&E facilities in the Detroit area
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in industrial systems
  • Electrical troubleshooting including ethernet, servo systems, and other industrial components
  • Terminate 480V electrical connections safely and efficiently
  • Perform electrical installations for new equipment and systems
  • Complete panel wiring for industrial control systems
  • Willing to perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as requested , including all general building maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and other relevant safety standards

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrician license or comparable is required
  • Electrical card preferred
  • Experience with 480V terminations
  • Experience with ethernet and servo system troubleshooting
  • Experience with panel wiring and electrical installations
  • Read and interpret technical documents, including schematics, blueprints, and maintenance manuals
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner following all safety procedures
  • Valid driver's license
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various physical positions

Required Skills

  • Electrical troubleshooting abilities, particularly with ethernet and servo systems
  • Operation of mobile equipment such as Hilo, scissor-lift crane.
  • Skill in use of common hand tools and a variety of power tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in various environmental conditions (heat, cold, noise, etc.)
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, on a ladder and at heights
  • Must be able to work as needed including various shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
