Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Italian Cuisine and kitchen management, with experience in michelin star and or fine dining. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining food safety standards. This role requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of menus, ensuring creativity and quality in all dishes served.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to minimize waste.
  • Oversee food handling practices to comply with health regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
  • Support team management by fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and growth.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or Junior Sous Chef in a similar culinary role within the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
  • Experience in menu planning, inventory management, and kitchen management.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Familiarity with fine dining standards is preferred.
