Job description

New Star is searching for a Kitchen Manager to join our team in Elmwood Park. The ideal teammate has attention to detail and kitchen management experience. The role requires dedication, passion towards industry and fortitude to handle high volume business.

 

Some Qualifications include:

 

Kitchen Manager Experience

Knowledge of Chinese or Hibachi Restaurant Industries

Spanish Fluency Required 

Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) Language a Plus

 

Compensation and Benefits:

 

  • Salary Range starting at 70k a year.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Teach, train and run stations including dish, back of house prep and hibachi prep stations.
  • Maintain daily inventory of operating goods, order operating goods as needed by kitchen.
  • Maintain Kitchen Cleanliness in accordance to local ordinance.
  • Responsible for maintaining food quality standards to kitchen and guest standards.
  • Prepare Schedules for Back of House Team, Back of House Hibachi Team, and Dish Team.
  • Assist in Maintaining an accurate food & kitchen labor cost alongside with management.
  • Assist in food procurement, as well as responsible for short notice food and beverage procurement.
  • Assist in scheduling/organizing kitchen maintenance.
  • Flexibility towards adjusting responsibilities as determined by policy changes.
  • Drivers License Required.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to carry, lift, pull at least 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for at least 10 hours.

 

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: $70,000.00
