Leo is a locally owned New American restaurant and bar in the vibrant Arts District of downtown Annapolis. It features local flavors from nearby farms and purveyors to create a modern, seasonal and sustainable menu. We are looking for seasoned, experienced cooks to fill open line cook and prep cook positions. The positions require strong cooking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of cooking experience in high volume scratch kitchens, working in multiple stations, and a strong preference will be given to cooks with experience in elevated cuisine/fine dining.
Candidates must be available nights, weekends and some holidays. Leo is open seven days per week. We are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Pay starts at $21/hour, but will be commensurate with experience. We also offer parking benefits and health benefits to all staff as well as a 401k program for qualifying employees.
Responsibilities:
● Set up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
● Prepare food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
● Cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
● Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
● Clean and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
● Perform inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
● Prepare and execute key components of dishes on designated stations in addition to supporting fellow cooks at all times.
