mfk. restaurant is a small, seafood-focused restaurant in Lakeview East. We are looking for a full-time (35-40hr/wk) Line Cook to join our team.
The restaurant is small (25 seats) and so is our team, so it is imperative that everyone contributes to the success of each service, and operations overall.
The right person for this role is: driven, curious, patient, friendly, hard-working, self-motivated, and passionate about the act of eating/drinking/dining. Many friendships are born within this work environment, and the ability for that to happen hinges on mutual respect and focus to get the work done while having a good time.
We are open seven days a week, and have limited cooler space, so we receive deliveries daily and prep for service each day. This position would contribute to prep and storage organization in tandem with working the line. We have two stations: garde manger (cold & fryer) and grill (sauté & plancha).
Our last seating is 9:30 each night.
There's no yelling/belittling in this house.
Everyone comes to work and tries their best.
