Position Summary

The Line Cook at The Quoin Hotel & Restaurant is responsible for preparing high-quality dishes with consistency, precision, and respect for seasonal ingredients. This role supports the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in executing a refined, modern menu that reflects The Quoin’s commitment to elevated hospitality, thoughtful sourcing, and exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and execute menu items according to established recipes, standards, and plating guidelines
  • Maintain station readiness for service, including prep, organization, and cleanliness
  • Execute service efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining quality and accuracy
  • Properly handle, store, and label food to ensure freshness and food safety compliance
  • Assist with daily prep lists, stock rotation, and inventory awareness
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth service flow and communication
  • Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards (ServSafe knowledge preferred)
  • Contribute to a positive, respectful, and professional kitchen culture
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of experience as a line cook in a professional kitchen (upscale or hotel experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen organization
  • Ability to follow direction, recipes, and standards with consistency
  • Calm and focused demeanor in a fast-paced service environment
  • Passion for food, hospitality, and continuous learning
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
