The PMHNP fellowship program is designed to provide new Nurse Practitioner graduates with a unique opportunity to apply their education and strengthen their clinical skills as they transition to professional practice. We are now recruiting for the program's 2026-2027 Class of NP fellows.
This is a 12-month program that will start November 1, 2026-October 31, 2027.
This program includes a six-month rotation in the hospital on various inpatient units including CPEP, Adult Inpatient Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry, and Consultation and Liaison Services and a six-month rotation in the Outpatient Clinic working with Children, Adolescents, and Adults.
In addition to these rotations, the fellow will attend weekly Grand Rounds, Didactic training classes, journal club as well have opportunities to participate in leadership, quality improvement activities and case discussions in Psychopharmacology.
Full-Time Monday-Friday Schedule, and hours may very depending upon rotation. Flexibility is required.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. New York State licensed and ANCC board certified as a PMHNP by August 15, 2026.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with technology systems. Prior experience in Psychiatry.
