Job Description Job Description Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school-based Physical Therapist position is available for the 20252026 school year in New Windsor, New York. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule of two days per week, providing physical therapy services to school-aged students within an educational setting. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver physical therapy interventions aligned with IEP goals and New York State Education Department (NYSED) guidelines. * Assess and evaluate students physical abilities, developing individualized treatment plans to enhance mobility, strength, and independence. * Collaborate effectively with teachers, school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams. * Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, providing expert recommendations and professional insight. * Maintain thorough and compliant documentation and progress reports according to district and DOE standards. * Support the transfer of motor skills across various educational and social contexts to foster student success. Qualifications and Experience: * Masters or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. * Current New York State Physical Therapy licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure. * Prior experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy is highly preferred. * Knowledge of CSE procedures and DOE requirements is an advantage. * Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills. Location: New Windsor, NY (part-time, 2 days per week with scheduling flexibility).
