Provide mental health treatment by developing, implementing, and modifying individualized treatment plans. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (e.g., psychiatry, nursing, social work, physicians, education, chaplaincy, and security as applicable) to ensure integrated care and follow-through. Make regular rounds in segregation or other confined housing areas to evaluate adjustment and treatment needs. Apply counseling theory and techniques to deliver appropriate interventions for individuals in the caseload. Provide crisis-focused mental health assessments and counseling, including interventions aimed at de-escalation and conflict avoidance. Consult with relevant staff to understand triggers and contributing factors related to escalation of behavior and changes in mental health.
