Pay: $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Location: Hybrid role based in Farmington Hills, MI. Attorneys are expected in the office for collaboration, team meetings, and court preparation 2–3 days per week, with flexibility for remote work the remaining days.

Note: Candidates must have 1+ years of insurance defense litigation experience. PIP experience required. Strong written, oral, and courtroom skills, including depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation, are required.

Job Description

  • Represent insurers and policyholders in insurance defense litigation, including PIP, bodily injury, and property damage claims.
  • Analyze complex legal and factual issues to develop and implement effective litigation strategies.
  • Manage discovery, including drafting discovery requests and responses, taking and defending depositions, and preparing expert witnesses.
  • Draft motions, briefs, and other court filings.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver high-quality client service.
  • Manage multiple cases, deadlines, and client communications efficiently.
  • Participate in negotiation, mediation, and courtroom proceedings.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of insurance defense litigation experience; PIP experience required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and results-oriented mindset.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid team environment.
