Job Description

Overview: Piper Technology provides the highest quality, more complete IT infrastructure solutions, including electrical, structured cabling, and network equipment installations to IT professionals in the Retail/POS, Healthcare, Financial Services, Data Center and Commercial Industries. Location: This position is 100% travel (Monday – Friday) with no weekend work. Some projects may require overnight installation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pulling/Terminating CAT5/CAT6 runs for POS systems or Self Order Kiosks
• Reading blueprints/placement documents to install equipment in the correct location
• Imaging/Configuration of new devices
• Maintaining neat cable management on all cable pulls and POS installations
• Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment
• Completing all required paperwork/deliverables for each site completed

Required Skills and Experience:

• Someone who is willing to learn, hard worker, attention to detail, with a high school diploma.
• Must have a driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Dependable and Reliable
• Comfortable driving cargo van & transporting equipment
• Must have your own basic hand tools
• Must be comfortable on scissor lifts and ladders
• Prior POS/Structured Cabling experience
• Familiarity with computer systems and basic networking
• Familiarity with device configuration and imaging
• OSHA10 preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel)
• Proficient with the use of email, Microsoft Products Word & Excel), and the ability to learn internal systems

Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements and activities that are required to perform essential functions of the positions are as follows: Must be always able to lift, pull and push a minimum of 50 pounds, and stand for long periods of time.

Rate of pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

• Hourly rate will be commensurate with experience level

Status: Non-Exempt

Start Date: 1 – 2 weeks from the application screening process.
