Job Description
Job DescriptionAt Beyond Feedback we bring humanity back to business by partnering with business leaders to provide employee and customer lifecycle feedback programs. The tailor-made feedback programs and actionable insights provided by our team of experts drive increased brand loyalty, customer retention, employee retention, and employee engagement for business clients.
We have a new work-from-home opportunity available for a full-time Process Automation Engineer to join us in our mission of reaching 35M survey participants by 2035
Are you a self-starter who sees a repetitive manual process and immediately thinks, "there's got to be a better way to do this -- I bet I can automate it"? Does a successful API integration give you the same satisfaction most people get from perfectly parallel parking? Do you find yourself asking "why do we do it that way?" with genuine curiosity (not judgment)? Are you fluent in the delicate art of telling someone their "quick fix" is actually breaking three things downstream -- without making them feel bad? If this sounds like you, keep reading.
What You'll Do
Partner proactively with teams across departments to identify workflow inefficiencies, understand business objectives, and translate operational needs into actionable automation opportunities that balance business value and technical feasibility.
Design, develop, and maintain robust automated workflows and scripts that eliminate repetitive manual tasks across survey deployment, data processing, and reporting functions.
Build reliable internal tools that empower team members to work more efficiently and accurately while supporting both internal operations and client-facing deliverables.
Anticipate scalability challenges before they impact operations or client deliverables.
Monitor automated processes continuously for errors, performance issues, and evolving business requirements to ensure operational reliability.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly to minimize disruption to internal workflows and client project timelines.
Optimize existing automations based on user feedback, system performance data, and emerging use cases to drive continuous improvement.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all automation processes, code, and technical workflows following best practices for version control, testing, and deployment.
Train non-technical staff on new process automations and provide ongoing support to ensure successful adoption and proper usage.
Build trusted cross-functional relationships that enable honest feedback, collaborative problem-solving, and knowledge sharing to strengthen technical capacity across the organization.
What you bring to the table (required qualifications):
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or 3+ years of relevant professional experience
3+ years of professional experience in process automation, backend development, or similar technical role.
Strong Python programming skills with demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable code.
Experience with API integrations and working with third-party platforms.
SQL Database experience and comfort working with structured data.
Understanding of automation principles and ability to identify which processes are good candidates for automation.
Proven ability to effectively work cross-functionally and build collaborative relationships with non-technical stakeholders.
Strong requirements-gathering skills and ability to ask clarifying questions to understand true needs.
Systems thinker who can anticipate downstream impacts and future needs.
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to make sound decisions with incomplete information.
What's in it for you (comp & benefits):
Starting pay is between $80k to $110k per year / depending on experience.
A comprehensive suite of benefits including medical/dental/vision coverage (with fully paid employee medical coverage after 5 years), life insurance, gym reimbursement, tuition reimbursement, maternity/paternity leave, vacation time, and more.
Generous paid time off with 15.5 paid holidays, Birthday Friday, and 2 Rest & Reprieve days. Plus - we pay you a $2,000 vacation allowance to use as you choose after achieving your 5-year anniversary -- that's right, we pay you to go on vacation! We even pay you to give back to your community and volunteer at a place of your choosing, two days per year.
Our Work-From-Home Arrangement:
