Process Engineer | Allendale, MI

Salary Range: $70,000 - $104,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize existing manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues, production bottlenecks, and deviations.
• Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes or process improvements.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, PFDs, and technical specifications.
• Analyze process data to identify trends, root causes of problems, and opportunities for enhancement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on equipment selection, installation, and commissioning.
• Ensure processes comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with process optimization methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, SPC) and root cause analysis.
• Experience with process simulation software, CAD, and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex process issues to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Bonus Qualifications

• Six Sigma Black Belt certification
