Commercial Insurance Agent – Workers’ Compensation (Florida)

We’re seeking our very first Commercial Insurance Agent to join our team. This is a rare opportunity to get in at the ground level, work directly with agency leadership, and help shape the culture, growth, and success of Wizmo.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Commercial Insurance Agent with Wizmo, your primary responsibility will be driving growth through new business production. You’ll have the tools and leads to succeed, and your role will include:

• Prospecting & Lead Generation: Call on restaurant and hospitality businesses across Florida, using provided leads.
• Client Engagement: Meet with business owners, explain the value of Workers’ Comp coverage, and build trust through consultative selling.
• Sales & Closing: Present customized solutions, negotiate terms, and secure policies that meet client needs.
• Relationship Management: Develop and maintain long-term client relationships, becoming their go-to resource for Workers’ Compensation expertise.

Qualifications

We are looking for a driven, self-motivated individual who is excited about building something new. To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• An active Florida 220 Property & Casualty license (required).
• Proven experience in commercial insurance sales is a plus, but motivated licensed agents looking to specialize in Workers’ Comp are welcome to apply.
• Strong prospecting and closing skills with the confidence to sell directly to business owners.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• An entrepreneurial mindset—you thrive in a startup environment and want to grow with the agency.
• Hospitality industry knowledge is a plus but not required.
