I-Pulse Albuquerque is investing in R&D to pioneer new technologies and establish industry benchmarks in pulsed-power and electrical systems. By opening an office in Albuquerque, we are advancing our commitment to commercializing pulsed power. We seek creative individuals who can rapidly transform concepts into hardware and integrate them into commercial applications.
Responsibilities Include:
Collaborating with scientists, engineers, technicians, and program managers to develop advanced pulsed-power systems.
Using simulation tools (e.g., COMSOL, CST, SPICE, Screamer, FLASH, LS-DYNA) for circuit, electromagnetic, and multi-physics simulations.
Modeling hydrodynamic and solid-matter interfaces and scaling pulsed-power systems.
Designing high-temperature, long-lifetime, high-reliability pulsed-power systems.
Developing PCBs and advanced high-temperature electronics.
Presenting work at design reviews, managing schedules, and tracking project costs.
Conducting theoretical and experimental analysis.
Documenting results, failures, and corrective actions.
Writing technical proposals.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in physics, electrical engineering, or a related field (B.S. considered with sufficient experience).
5–10+ years of experience in pulsed-power projects.
Experience in research, development, or prototyping environments.
Experience writing proposals for competitive solicitations.
Desired Qualifications:
20+ years of experience in pulsed power or related projects for government or industry.
Expertise in experimental electrical engineering or applied physics.
Master’s or Ph.D. in physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
