About Us
We are an AV-rated California law firm representing secured creditors, investors, and property owners across a focused range of real estate litigation and transactional matters. Our partners bring over 50 years of combined experience to a tight-knit, results‑driven team that values quality work, client service, and an environment where attorneys can thrive professionally and personally. Confidential Employer.
Job Description
- Handle real estate litigation matters from inception through trial — including landlord/tenant disputes, unlawful detainer actions, and lender defense cases
- Apply working knowledge of California rent control law, unlawful detainer procedure, and California Civil Procedure throughout all phases of litigation
- Navigate state and federal laws governing evictions and lender foreclosures, including CA HOBR, non‑judicial foreclosure under Civil Code § 2924, and evictions under CCP § 1161 (preferred but not required)
- Manage a substantive caseload with independence, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of client service
- Collaborate with a close‑knit team of attorneys and support staff in a collegial, professionally rewarding environment
- Participate in business development and bring client relationships to the firm — book of business enhances partnership prospects
- Contribute to shaping the practice and culture of the firm — this is a place where motivated attorneys genuinely make an impact
Qualifications
- Active California Bar admission required
- 3+ years of California litigation experience, with direct exposure to landlord/tenant, unlawful detainer, lender defense, foreclosure, or real estate litigation
- Strong command of California Civil Procedure and relevant real estate litigation statutes
- Courtroom experience and comfort managing matters through trial
- Ability to manage a full caseload independently with strong organizational and communication skills
- Small book of business a plus — commission structure rewards origination
Why You Will Love Working Here
This is the rare firm that talks about work‑life balance and actually builds it into how they run the practice. Billable hour expectations are deliberately kept manageable so attorneys can have a full life outside the office — and a long, sustainable career inside it. You'll join a small, cohesive team where you're a known contributor, not a number. The non‑equity partnership path is real, the autonomy is real, and for the right attorney, the opportunity to shape what this firm becomes is equally real.
