Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Massachusetts license is needed to provide one-on-one diabetes care for a 9-year-old student. This contract position involves supporting the student throughout their daily activities, starting from the students home, accompanying the student on the bus to school, staying with them during the school day, and then returning on the bus to the students residence. Location: * Student's residences located in Waltham and Watertown, MA * School building in Lexington, MA * Daily travel involved between home and school Schedule: * Monday through Friday * Approximately 8:00 AM to 3:40 PM, with times subject to change based on transportation schedules Responsibilities: * Provide comprehensive nursing care tailored to managing diabetes for the assigned student * Monitor blood glucose levels, administer insulin as required, and respond to diabetic emergencies promptly * Communicate effectively with school staff, family members, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care * Maintain accurate records of nursing services and student health status * Accompany and assist the student during transportation to and from school Qualifications: * Current Registered Nurse license issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (LPNs and CNAs will not be considered) * Experience working with pediatric patients, preferably in school or similar settings * Strong knowledge of diabetes management and emergency protocols * Ability to work independently while providing compassionate, attentive care Benefits: * Opportunity to work in an engaging one-on-one nursing role within educational and home environments * Supportive setting with clear responsibilities concentrating on student health and safety This assignment provides a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting a students health and educational participation in a school setting.
