Stellina Pizzeria, a Michelin bib gourmand restaurant, is looking for a Sous Chef to join
our team. The Sous Chef will assist Chef Matteo Venini at the Tysons Corner location in Virginia. We are an upscale casual concept that modernizes the classic pizza counter with style and dynamic energy. Our menu is centered around Southern Italian food and Neo-Neapolitan style pizzas.

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for a passionate culinary professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and grow in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. As Sous Chef, you will work closely with Chef Matteo, helping oversee daily kitchen operations while supporting and developing the BOH team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing and overseeing daily kitchen operations
  • Lead, train, and support BOH staff to maintain high performance and consistency
  • Oversee prep operations and organization within thecommissary kitchen, ensuring deliveries are received, checked, and organized accurately to maintain proper inventory and product quality
  • Maintain kitchen organization, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety standards
  • Monitor and manage inventory, ordering, and product rotation
  • Track and control food costs to meet operational targets
  • Ensure dishes are prepared and presented according to restaurant standards

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant kitchen preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and professional work ethic
  • Ability to take initiative and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
