Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position in Des Plaines, IL, supporting students from early childhood through 12th grade during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This in-person role runs from June 15, 2026, through July 26, 2026. Services are provided Monday through Thursday, with typical hours from 8:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. However, the first and last days require availability until 3:15 p.m. Multiple SLP positions are available to support the program. Qualifications and Experience: * Certified Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC or School certification * Valid Illinois license and Professional Educator License (PEL) * Experience serving students in school settings, including those with special education needs * Ability to work effectively with early childhood through 12th-grade students * Willingness to comply with in-person service delivery * SLPA and Clinical Fellow (CF) approval pending is acceptable Responsibilities: * Provide direct speech-language services aligned with student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) * Collaborate with educational staff to support student communication goals * Document progress and maintain accurate records * Participate in team meetings as required for ESY Location: * Des Plaines, IL (Gages Lake area) This position is ideal for SLPs seeking short-term ESY assignments during the summer months, offering the opportunity to support students in a focused, structured environment. Qualified candidates who hold the appropriate Illinois licensure are encouraged to apply and verify their credentials through the Illinois State Board of Education educator license search portal. Applicants should be prepared for in-person service delivery and flexible scheduling during the contracted dates. Compensation for this position ranges from $36.40 to $66.40.
