Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract opportunity is designed for experienced Registered Nurses skilled in the Operating Room environment. Located in the vibrant community of Barre, VT, this role offers involvement in diverse surgical cases with a well-supported clinical team in a licensed 122-bed healthcare setting. Qualifications and Experience: * Minimum 2 years clinical experience as an RN, with at least 2 years in Operating Room nursing * Current BLS and ACLS certifications required * National Certification for Scrub Techs preferred * Ability to circulate and scrub during surgical procedures * Strong familiarity with EPIC documentation and medication systems including Pyxis and Med Room Location Highlights Barre, Vermont: Barre offers an inviting New England atmosphere surrounded by scenic landscapes and outdoor recreational opportunities. Responsibilities: * Support perioperative care by circulating and scrubbing in various surgeries including orthopedics, cataracts, podiatry, urology, gynecology, and cardiology procedures * Manage patient care modalities within a team setting, ensuring strict adherence to surgical dress codes and infection control protocols * Participate in weekend and weekday evening call rotations following a supportive scheduling model * Collaborate with advanced practice clinicians and anesthesia providers available 24/7 Schedule: * Monday through Friday with 8- or 10-hour day shifts and 8-hour evening shifts available * One weekend call rotation every five weeks; weekday evening call required (shift coverage accommodates time off) This position includes a three-day orientation to get you fully prepared for the role. Surgical attire and OR-dedicated shoes are provided, supporting a professional and compliant work environment. This contractual assignment offers a chance to work in a supportive, non-trauma facility with a 1:1 nurse-patient ratio in the operating room.
