Tank Welding Technician

We are currently searching for Certified Tank Welder with 3+ years of tank and trailer welding experience!

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 8:30am-5:00pm PST

This position is for our Sacramento, CA branch at 4432 Winters Street, Sacramento, CA. 95652

Pay Range: $27.00 to $41.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

  • Preferred candidates will possess both welding and fitting skills, be able to operate an acetylene torch, be able to read and comprehend measurements, and have worked in an industrial setting.
  • TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience
  • The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
  • Tank service and repair
  • Trailer suspension installation and repair
  • Experience with air brake systems and repairs
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED

Physical Demands:

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
  • Must be able to fit through a 16" tank trailer manhole
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces
  • Must be able to climb a ladder, and be comfortable working with heights
