Core Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions using evidence-based physical therapy techniques
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and physician referrals
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and functional training to maximize patient recovery and mobility
- Document patient progress accurately and timely in electronic health records, maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and patients regarding treatment plans and outcomes
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and modify therapy protocols as clinically indicated
- Educate patients on proper body mechanics, home exercise programs, and injury prevention strategies
- Maintain professional licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirements throughout the assignment
- Adhere to all facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control procedures
- Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives as requested
- Build positive relationships with colleagues, patients, and referring physicians to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Must-Have Requirements- Current Physical Therapist License in Michigan or ability to obtain one
- Valid Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- Minimum two years of direct patient care experience as a licensed physical therapist
- Proof of current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid passport (for travel credentials verification)
- Non-local residency requirement: must reside at least 60 miles from the facility
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills across multiple patient populations
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with healthcare teams
- Flexibility and adaptability to new environments and clinical settings
- Reliable transportation and willingness to relocate for the duration of assignment
