Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Urology invites applications for a full-time, fellowship-trained Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS). This is a tenure-track or non-tenure clinical track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Clinical
* Provide expert evaluation, medical management, and surgical treatment of female pelvic floor disorders including urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, voiding dysfunction, and fistula repair
* Perform advanced reconstructive procedures including minimally invasive (robotic, laparoscopic, and vaginal) approaches
* Collaborate with colleagues in Gynecology, Colorectal Surgery, Physical Therapy, and related disciplines in an established multidisciplinary pelvic floor program
* Participate in inpatient and outpatient clinical activities across Emory Healthcare network sites
* Mentor residents and fellows in clinical and surgical training
Required
* M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
* Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Urology
* Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS)/Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS) (or certification in this area from prior training)
* Board certified or board eligible in Urology
* Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Georgia
* Demonstrated competency in minimally invasive and reconstructive pelvic floor surgery
Preferred
* Prior academic faculty experience or demonstrated research productivity
* Experience with robotic-assisted surgery and advanced laparoscopic techniques
* History of extramural grant funding or active research portfolio
* Interest in clinical outcomes research, health disparities, or translational science
